CHEK Institute

I am a qualified CHEK coach. CHEK stands for Corrective, Holistic, Exercise, Kinesiology. In these courses we cover functional movement and holistic health where we dig into the details around Movement, lifestyle, nutrition, sleep and breathing principles. The aim of this is to get to the root cause of your discomfort and make the changes required to rectify them.

FMA Strength Institute

I have also completed study with FMA. FMA is designed to bridge the gap between rehab and strength & conditioning. Using the tools learnt in FMA I can look at how your body moves, what personal limitations you may have and design a rehab or strength program suited to you needs and goals. As an example, do you have a leg length discrepancy, do you have functional or structural pronation, a hemi pelvis or do you simple have limited ankle mobility not allowing you to get into a deep squat position? All of this and much more is important to know in building a quality exercise program.

Upledger Institute - Cranial Sacral Therapy

Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) is a very gentle manual therapy technique designed to help regulate and restore balance in the CNS (Central Nervous System). CST works with what is known as cerebral spinal fluid, a fluid which runs from the brain through to the base of the spine. CST also helps relieve tension through the cranium and all bones associated within.

Through joint restrictions in the cranium, we can often see unknown pains and problems arise within the body. As an example, hormonal issues can be prevalent, because on top of a bone in the skull, (sphenoid) sits the pituitary gland, master of hormonal secretion.

Barral Insitute - Visceral Manipulation (VM)

Visceral Manipulation is a process of gently manipulating the organs through soft hand techniques, this very subtle technique can offer profound results

The body is connected entirely through fascia, which is like a spider’s web, if you pull on one end, the other will move. It literally connects and intertwines our entire body.

If you have sustained injury of any kind (physical or emotional) there will be increased tension in the fascia. This can later lead to injury, pain or discomfort.
