FAQs

Do you perform an initial assessment?

Yes, however the initial assessment differs from the usual pre-gym assessment. In order to develop a full understanding of your individual orthopaedic profile, we go through a full physical and physiological analysis, inclusing posture, core screening, joint range of motion, musculo-skeletal history and lifestyle factors. I use this information to develop a detailed personalised program to suit you and your goals.

Do you include nutritional guidance in your sessions?

Whilst more than happy to give advice around nutrition and diet plans I like to keep the sessions focused. What I mean by that is, If we are focussing on a gym session, we want to be focussing on the movements of that desired session. We don't want to be taking up time talking about nutrition. If you would like to discuss nutrition and diet plans in further detail, we can book in a seperate session to focus on that.

How long is a session?

Session times are dependant on a number of variables.

  • Your available time

  • Your goals

  • Your level of fitness and training

  • Your budget

  • Your desire and ability to do homework

All of this will dictate how long the best session is for you

Can you help with poor posture?

Definitely, Good posture is the foundation to all movement, without it, we limit our bodies ability to move freely. It's also important to understand that each joint has an ideal posture, its not just the spine.

What is it exactly, that you do?

I get this one a lot, and my best answer is that I use a number of different modalitities to first rectify any imbalances  and then build a strong and resilient body. I do this through corrective exercise, strength and conditioning, manual therapy techniques (such as cranial sacral therapy, visceral manipulation and dry needling) whilst also incorporating  nutrition and lifestyle factors.

Do you work with chronic pain?

Yes absolutely. This is a real passion of mine. Having been through it before, I really do enjoy helping people get out of chronic pain and getting them back to enjoying life pain free while strengthening their body so we limit injuries,

Are there lock in contracts?

No, absolutely no lock in contracts. I want you to want to work with me, not feel obliged.
